2025-26 is the third year of our Data in Schools Conferences, with all-new content, more opportunity to speak to solution providers, and a fantastic line up of guest speakers. As ever, we aim to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to transform the data culture in your school; to make it learning-centred and workload-light.
We’ll look at the big questions, as always:
- How has data collection and tracking affected workload?
- How is AI changing school data?
- When it comes to data in schools, what works and what doesn’t?
As well as keynote sessions from an exciting array of speakers, 2025-26 will also see panel discussions, five-minute lightning talks, Q and As and more. We’re opening up slots for contributions from delegates too, so you can share what has worked – or not – for you as well.
Join our regular speakers James Pembroke (Insight, Director of Strategy, @jpembroke.bsky.social), Richard Selfridge (Insight, Education Data Consultant, @richardselfridge.bsky.social), and Josh Perry (SmartGrade, Carousel, @joshuaperry.bsky.social) for our step-by-step guide to rationalising your data life.
Our panel will be joined by guest speakers from leading organisations in data and assessment. Our key note speakers are Matt Foster, National Lead Practitioner for Primary Inclusion, Oasis Community Learning (Deputy Principal, Oasis Academy Aspinal) and Steve Wren, Director of Yorkshire Educational Excellence.
Matt has been a member of the Leadership Team at Aspinal since summer 2019 and is National Lead Practitioner for Inclusion for Oasis. He supports schools across his trust with SEND and Behaviour, utilising Oasis’ excellent student data systems and processes.
Steve was an Ofsted HMI and subject lead for mathematics from 2020 to 2025, leading on various initiatives for the Inspectorate. As a Specialist Advisor in Ofsted’s Schools policy team, Steve worked on the use of data on inspection, including writing and delivering inspector training on the use of data in the IDSR.
We will also be joined by further speakers to be announced very soon.
