DISCO North West 2025

Our second Data In Schools Conference of the year took place on Friday, 14 November 2025, at the Brick Community Stadium in Wigan. We were delighted to welcome 80 attendees for a day full of insights and lively discussion about the evolving school data landscape.

Lauren Meadows tackled the complex challenge of aligning curriculum and assessment, while Angela Sweeting, Ben Haslewood, and Dan Stucke joined a panel on Making Data Meaningful in Schools, sharing practical experiences of developing data use in diverse contexts.

Joshua Perry (SmartGrade and Carousel) explored how AI can support school data processes, and Insight team members James Pembroke (Director of Strategy) and Richard Selfridge (Education Data Consultant) reflected on what we’ve learned from a decade of working with student data—and what lessons lie ahead.

Looking ahead: The final DISCO of the 2025–26 academic year will be in Birmingham on Friday 21st November 2025. Please share this with colleagues who might be interested in attending.

We’ll soon start planning next year’s events, so let us know if you’d like a DISCO near you, or if there are topics you’d like us to cover in future. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success!
